The Wheatsheaf Inn is a free house situated in Betws-yn-rhos, an award-winning picturesque village with a famous twin towered church nestled between coast and mountains. The Wheatsheaf Inn was originally built in the 13th Century, and was licensed in 1640 as a coaching inn serving the mail route between Chester and Conway until 1870. The main features of the Inn are its brass strewn oak beams, stone pillars and original hay loft ladder. Light snacks and bar meals are served in the lounge bar and beer garden and a la carte meals in the Olde Worlde restaurant. The function room has a bar and dance floor and seats up to 100 people for special occasions. Bed and breakfast accommodation is also available - three double rooms and one family room, all en suite with coulour TV and tea/ coffee makers.
This is where the
North Wales Area Centre meets on the 3rd wednesday of each month at
around 8pm. Although the car park is quite small, the drive along a
twisty lane makes a trip worthwile. The pub specialises in excellent
food with a full restaurant (booking essential) and bar meals. Also
has a range of real ales - so get someone else to drive!
